Making your way through the airport before traveling by plane can often be a source of stress and anxiety. Hollywood Burbank Airport’s pet therapy program – Waggage Claim – can help provide relief and comfort as passengers embark on their journey.

The therapy dogs and their volunteer waggage handlers are tested and certified by the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Inc. The pets are of various ages and breeds, but ATD ensures all its dogs all well-mannered, well-behaved and enjoy meeting people.

TRAVELING WITH PETS

The Waggage Claim dogs don’t get to board the plane. But for those traveling with pets, it is important to check with your airline about the rules and procedures for safely traveling with them. All information about pet carriers, limits on the number and types of animals allowed in airline cabins and picking up animals at baggage claim areas should be provided by your airline so please check with them before you arrive for your flight.

PET RELIEF

For passengers traveling with furry friends, BUR has two pet relief areas.

• Pre-Security: Outdoors in the patio between Terminal A and Terminal B.
• Post-Security: Inside Terminal A, across from Gate A4 and adjacent to the men’s restroom
